The WMW CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) is a robust, heavy-duty machining solution designed for precision turning of large and oversized components. Retrofitted with a Fanuc 0i-TF CNC Control System, this machine delivers the reliability of German engineering combined with the flexibility and performance of modern CNC technology. Its large working capacity makes it ideal for machining heavy workpieces used in power generation, wind energy, mining, steel plants, oil & gas, shipbuilding, heavy engineering, and cement industries.

Equipped with a 3500 mm chuck diameter and the ability to machine components up to 4000 mm in diameter and 2900 mm in height, the machine is capable of handling large rings, flanges, bearing housings, turbine casings, pressure vessels, gear blanks, and other heavy fabricated components. The 1400 mm Z-axis tool post stroke provides excellent machining flexibility for deep and tall components.

The CNC retrofit incorporates precision Ø100 mm ball screws on both the X and Z axes, ensuring smooth interpolation, improved positioning accuracy, reduced backlash, and consistent machining performance. The Fanuc 0i-TF CNC System offers a user-friendly interface, high-speed processing, proven reliability, and worldwide service support, making the machine suitable for demanding production environments.

The machine is currently under power, allowing customers to inspect its operation and conduct trial machining before purchase.
