The HWACHEON VTL-550R is a heavy-duty CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) designed for high-precision machining of large, heavy, and irregularly shaped components. Built with a rigid machine structure and equipped with a FANUC CNC control, this machine delivers excellent accuracy, stability, and productivity for demanding industrial applications.
With a 500 mm (20"/21") hydraulic chuck, a maximum turning diameter of 650 mm, and a maximum swing of 820 mm, the VTL-550R is ideal for machining components such as bearing housings, valve bodies, flanges, pump casings, gears, wheel hubs, brake drums, rings, and other large cast or forged parts. The vertical spindle configuration provides superior workpiece support, reducing vibration and improving machining accuracy, especially when handling heavy workpieces.
Powered by an 18.5 kW spindle motor with a spindle speed range of 15–1,500 RPM, the machine offers excellent torque for both roughing and finishing operations. The machine features 350 mm X-axis travel and 790 mm Z-axis travel, enabling efficient machining of a wide range of component sizes.
